PLUMBING THEORY - HOME STUDY COURSE

Mechanical Trades Institute of Alberta has offered pipe trades upgrading courses since 1979.

These courses are designed to help prepare the JOURNEYMAN LEVEL TRADES person for PROVINCIAL TRADESMANS QUALIFICATION EXAMS.

Drainage & Venting Systems - Private Sewage Disposal
Trade Science - Mathematics - Pipe Drawings
Backflow Prevention - Hot Water Heating
Water Distribution - Basic Safety

Course fee: $615 CAD

The current National Plumbing Code of Canada
is required and is to be supplied by the student.

Each program consists of FIFTEEN HOME STUDY UNITS which are completed by the CANDIDATE and returned to MECHANICAL TRADES for review. This is followed by a course exam.

Home study is supplemented with telephone contact as required.


A course binder, notes and mail envelopes are included in each package. Each candidate is required to obtain applicable codes and training materials.
